From ADAS to AD: Enabling the DisruptionSpeaker
SummaryCAE methods and their tools are widely used in the automotive industry. In fact, their use has enabled the carmakers to reduce product development cost and time while improving the safety, comfort, and durability of the vehicles they produce. In order to cope with this development speed in the future, more and more software functions for sensing, perceiving, referencing… must be implemented and integrated in CAE tools in the same development cycles. This is an enormous challenge, especially for ADAS and AD functions. Therefore, standardization for all these functions are key activities to cope with the competitors. This presentation gives an overview about the landscape of standardization like Open Simulation Interface, Open Drive and Open Scenario and the role of sensor and the key role of sensor behavior models. Technology Trends & Compliance Solutions in AutomotiveSpeaker
SummaryAs technology advances, complexities increases and the need for compliance becomes vital. This presentation identifies the three technology trends in automotive and regulatory needs. Higher voltage is a growing trend that brings a greater need for electrical testing. The newly added evaluation method in CISPR 25 includes requirements for running simulation with actual load test to meet growing share of EV/PHV. More components in automobiles are equipped with wireless functions and would need to comply with global radio regulations. With state-of-the-art testing facilities globally, UL supports automotive industries through advancing innovation and providing comprehensive compliance solutions for our customers. ProfileMasahito joined UL Japan, Inc in 2001. He has extensive experience as a Business Development Manager and a Commercial Manager. Since 2015, Masahito has been leading the Consumer Technology Division in Japan as the General Manager and Operations Director.
